One is tempted to argue that her work is better than Pollock (See The City Review article on a major exhibition on Pollock at the Museum of Modern Art). Had she not deferred to him, as she most assuredly did, there is little doubt that her fame might have become at least the equal of her celebrated, notorious husband. Carter B.
